Yerba Buena was renamed San Francisco in 1847. The California Gold Rush in 1848 led to a sudden boom in population from people around the world called "forty-niners", leading San Francisco to become a local hub. Chinatown grew to have the largest Chinese population outside of China. Cable cars were introduced in 1873. A 7.8 earthquake on April 18, 1906 killed 3,000 and slowed growth, but the city was quickly rebuilt and continued to grow rapidly. The Golden Gate Bridge opened on May 28, 1937, connecting San Francisco to Marin County. At the time of its completion, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world, and continues to draw people from around the world to walk, drive, or ride their bikes across and witness its beautiful reddish orange color officially called "Internal Orange." On October 17, 1989 the Loma Prieta earthquake, a 6.9, happened during the middle of the World Series, which was being broadcast live. The earthquake caused the Bay Bridge to collapse. - Friday, April 30 | Habari Gani? | This Train is Departing
Don't get left behind. Weather Sun in Taurus Waning Gibbous Moon in Sagittarius Friday, April 30, 2021 This train is departing. We just got on this amazing train, and it seems like we are heading into a wormhole type of tunnel that is about to take off like a rocket and catapult us forward. Where are you right now? Are you already on board, sitting comfortably in your seat? Or are you still in the Uber? The good news is, there's still time. This is not a physical train but a train taking us on a collective spiritual journey of intense growth and spectacular transformation. Spirit is trying to ignite us, but we have to be hop on board. Hurry up and get comfortable, because this is going to be a wild ride of a lifetime, and all of us have a chance to participate in the transformation of the world that is underway right now. There is infinite energy in the universe that is accessible to us. There is a huge misunderstanding that the resources we need are limited, when there is enough for everyone to have abundance. It is our ability to tap into the Spirit consciousness that allows us to figure out the hows of seemingly impossible problems that we humans have created. It is impossible to solve a problem from the same level of thinking that created it, and so human problems cannot be solved by human thinking. It requires connection to Spirit to give us a higher viewpoint. For many generations, humanity has been moving farther and farther away from Spirit and deeper and deeper into maya or the illusion of the physical world. It's like we have been born in Disneyland and our families have lived here for generations only for us to begin to wake up to the fact that this is an artificially created world that we live in. Yes, we all live in Disneyland. Spirit is trying to give humans a huge jolt and a collective wake up call. People are coming to increased levels of consciousness and spiritual connection rapidly in numbers never seen before. Spirit is doing this. The fruits of living in deep connection with Spirit are so many that once you jump on the train you'll be overjoyed with your choice to venture into the wormhole. Once there is a tidal number of people who are tapped in in this way, the tide across the world will seem like it shifts out of the blue as we suddenly begin to work more cooperatively and the world comes into a state of increases peace and harmony, but it will not be out of the blue at all. It will only seem that way to those who were not paying attention. We are co-creating a new way of living and being in the world. So the question is, are you ready to hop on board? Or are you cool with missing the train? Up to you. The first print issue of Liveology Yoga Magazine is being released in June 2021. - Monday, April 26 | Habari Gani? | Get Used to Being Upside Down
Take it all the way. Weather Sun in Taurus Full Moon in Scorpio Monday, April 26, 2021 What are you afraid of? The Full Moon is almost upon us, and the fullness is bring everything to a peak. Emotions might be high, arguments might pop off, you might be feeling some extra sexual energy, or it could even be a time of a much needed breakthrough. For some reason, many of us have a fear of living into the fullness of who we are. We may do just enough to have a comfortable job or to have the superficial things we want and need in our lives but often stop just shy of really going for the gold because the gold is in the Upside Down. This spiritual journey, for me, is learning how to live in the upside down. A few years ago, when I was first learning headstand and couldn’t hold it for any length of time without the support of a wall, I made a post called “Getting Used to Being Upside down.” At the time, simply being on my head was totally out of my comfort zone. It provoked intense fear of falling, and day after day I did fall for a number of months. As of today, I love headstand and am now trying to press into handstand. If I had given up because headstand was scary and hard initially, I would never overcome my fears and handstand would never be within my reach. But simply consistency and persistence can make seemingly impossible things part of our every day experience. So today, Spirit is encouraged us to overcome all fear and to face our fears head on. If there is something that has been elusive to you, perhaps the energy of the full moon is enough to make that breakthrough. Your deepest desires are on the other side of fear in the Upside Down. Life is built that way to encourage us to grow, so why fearing?? Go get it!! Thanks for your continued and growing support. Tell a friend about what we're doing at Liveology today. Love you, family! - Service Well–Pleasing to God | Hebrews 13
The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me? The Books of the Bible Service Well–Pleasing to God Hebrews 13:1 Let mutual love continue. 2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. 3 Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured. 4 Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers. 5 Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” 6 So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” 7 Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings; for it is well for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by regulations about food,a which have not benefited those who observe them. 10 We have an altar from which those who officiate in the tenta have no right to eat. 11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp. 12 Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the city gate in order to sanctify the people by his own blood. 13 Let us then go to him outside the camp and bear the abuse he endured. 14 For here we have no lasting city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. 15 Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name. 16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. 17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls and will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with sighing—for that would be harmful to you. 18 Pray for us; we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. 19 I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you very soon. Benediction 20 Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Final Exhortation and Greetings 22 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly. 23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been set free; and if he comes in time, he will be with me when I see you. 24 Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy send you greetings. 25 Grace be with all of you. - The Kleshas
The root cause of pain and suffering. According to Book II of the Yoga Sutras, the 5 Kleshas are the root cause of pain and suffering. Avidya Ignorance, incorrect perception. Avidya points to disconnection from our spiritual selves and being totally deceived by maya or the illusion of the physical world. Asmita Overidentification with the ego. Asmita points to an identification with our temporary physical avatar and the egoic identity given to us and created over the course of our lives, over identifying with eternal our soul that is in unity with all beings. Asmita can lead to selfishness, an us vs. them or winners vs. losers mentality, focus on worldly things, and shame. Raga Attachment. Raga is our attachment to things in the physical world, with the belief that these things are which bring happiness, which is not true. Attachment can can include co-dependency on others, pleasure seeking behavior, and a lack of balance. Dvesha Aversion or hatred. Dvesha can be a strong emotion of avoidance of pain and anything we don't like, further emphasizing an us vs. them mentality, when ultimately we are all expressions of one spirit. There are some things we need to do on our spiritual path that we may not prefer. Growth is accepting both situations and people we like and dislike as valuable and part of the journey. Abhinivesha Fear of death, clinging to life, which in a way encompasses all the other kleshas because it stems from an over attachment to this avatar and the things in this life. This fear of the unknown and of death is what prevents most of us from pursuing our dreams and from simply relaxing enough to enjoy the pleasures this life can bring.

- Thursday, April 22 | Habari Gani? | Follow the Sweet Scent
Sweet like cinnamon rolls. Weather Sun in Taurus Waxing Gibbous Moon in Leo Thursday, April 22, 2021 Go down the unknown path. Something in the air smells sweet like warm cinnamon rolls. And we're following the scent. Today, spirit is encouraging us to follow the sweet but unknown path. If you're just now feeling a shift in your consciousness and aren't quite sure where this is going, go. How do you know? Because you can smell the sweet scent guiding you. On the path, there will be many opportunities or distractions along the way. Many of them appear to be things that you want or seem good, but once you investigate, you sometimes find that these opportunities or distractions are not really for your benefit and that they're really just diversions taking you away from your path. You can tell by the scent whether something is ultimately a distraction, and you know this by taking a moment to pause, slow your breathing, and really take in the essence of everything that is going on. Is a situation or person helping you to progress along your path, are they providing rest or fun, or are they gently nudging you away from your intended focus? Even if something is pleasant or seems nice or fun, doesn't mean that it's yours or on your path. Taking a moment to tell the difference is so beneficial because those things that are just off the path are never as wonderful or fruitful as the things that are totally aligned, so it's better just to stay the course and wait for the real thing. So keep following the sweet path that leads to the desires of your heart, and ignore the distractions by the wayside. - Monday, April 19 | Habari Gani? | Break the Curse
Keep healing, keep forgiving, keep having compassion. Weather Sun in Aries Waxing Crescent Moon in Cancer Monday, April 19, 2021 It's time to move on, family. We're moving on from generational curses and things that we have inherited from our parents and the rest of our families for generations. There are so many things we inherit - belief systems, cycles of abuse, the same traumas that happened to our parents/grandparents, similar diseases throughout the family. Oftentimes, we credit these similarities to our genes, when there is something deeper going on. When we believe that these inherited traumas and such are in our DNA and thus unchangeable, of course they won't be changed, but when we look at these inherited traumas as generational curses, they are now able to be broken. A generational curse isn't a hex placed by an outside person, but rather is an energy that attaches, becomes part of the normal thought and behavior pattern, and perpetuates. The curse is in this energy's ability to appear normal, when it is actually illness or disorder. The more this energy perpetuates to others in the family, the more it appears normal and becomes ingrained in the family's culture or way of being. Traumas that happened to one generation can energetically pass on so that subsequent generations can experience almost identical scenarios over and over again until someone in the generation identifies and breaks the pattern. If you're reading this, that looks like you! It can feel like a burden at times being this person, but your healing is so important because it affects you, generations behind you, and generations to come. Shockingly, other members in your family may mysteriously start "feeling better" or spontaneously begin to heal their own traumas in response to your efforts. So today is just a day of encouragement to keep healing, keep forgiving, keep having compassion for those in your family who have shared trauma with you. Release any blame or anger toward those in previous generations. They took the baton as far as they could with the abilities and tools they had available to them at the time. Today, we simply have different tools and abilities to take it further. We are each doing important work, and together it adds up. Never doubt whether the hard work you have been doing to break curses and heal self and others matters. It does! The first print issue of Liveology Yoga Magazine is being released in June! We're so excited to take this show on the road. Tell a friend about what we're doing at Liveology today. Love you, family! Christina The most recent Habari Gani? are public.
