It's time to move on, family.

We're moving on from generational curses and things that we have inherited from our parents and the rest of our families for generations. There are so many things we inherit - belief systems, cycles of abuse, the same traumas that happened to our parents/grandparents, similar diseases throughout the family. Oftentimes, we credit these similarities to our genes, when there is something deeper going on. When we believe that these inherited traumas and such are in our DNA and thus unchangeable, of course they won't be changed, but when we look at these inherited traumas as generational curses, they are now able to be broken.

A generational curse isn't a hex placed by an outside person, but rather is an energy that attaches, becomes part of the normal thought and behavior pattern, and perpetuates. The curse is in this energy's ability to appear normal, when it is actually illness or disorder. The more this energy perpetuates to others in the family, the more it appears normal and becomes ingrained in the family's culture or way of being.

Traumas that happened to one generation can energetically pass on so that subsequent generations can experience almost identical scenarios over and over again until someone in the generation identifies and breaks the pattern. If you're reading this, that looks like you! It can feel like a burden at times being this person, but your healing is so important because it affects you, generations behind you, and generations to come. Shockingly, other members in your family may mysteriously start "feeling better" or spontaneously begin to heal their own traumas in response to your efforts.

So today is just a day of encouragement to keep healing, keep forgiving, keep having compassion for those in your family who have shared trauma with you. Release any blame or anger toward those in previous generations. They took the baton as far as they could with the abilities and tools they had available to them at the time. Today, we simply have different tools and abilities to take it further.

We are each doing important work, and together it adds up. Never doubt whether the hard work you have been doing to break curses and heal self and others matters. It does!

The first print issue of Liveology Yoga Magazine is being released in June! We're so excited to take this show on the road. Tell a friend about what we're doing at Liveology today.

Love you, family!
