Information

Brahmamuhurtha is an auspicious time to rise, early in the morning in yogic tradition for prayer, meditation, and other spiritual practices. It consists of the two muhurtas (time periods of 48 minutes) beginning 96 minutes before sunrise.

This time is said to be beneficial for spiritual practice because the energy of the world is pure and calm, and the mind is peaceful and sattvic, aiding in meditative practices.

In Ayurveda, Brahmamuhurtha coincides with the Vata time of day. The benefits. of rising during this time include health and long life.

Brahmamuhurtha can be considered to be a time for devotion to the Creator God, but it can also. be seen as a time for the human to Create him or herself for the day. Who do I want to be today?
