Nutmeg is an evergreen tree traditionally grown in Indonesia. The commonly used spice is ground from the inner seeds and is a sweet, warm and aromatic. Nutmeg is commonly used in holiday baked goods, such as sweet potato and pumpkin pies and eggnog alongside spices like cinnamon. It can be used with milk as a sleep aid.
