A new streaming platform for kids called Bentkey has been released and made available to the public as of October 16, 2023, founded by the Daily Wire. The date just so happens to be the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. The Daily Wire, a growing conservative outlet owned by Bentkey Ventures, LLC has been critical of Disney for inserting liberal ideology, often called "woke" to once timeless classics.
According to Bentkey.com, "Get ready for a world of excitement and adventure with Bentkey, the ultimate streaming platform designed for kids! A wild and fun world awaits! Join Bentkey today to discover stories and characters kids will love and parents can trust."
The Daily Wire hasn't been the only ones critical of Disney. In the wake of multiple new "woke" movies and shows released by Disney in recent years, various reports say that Disney has lost anywhere between $900 million to $123 million due to Disney+ cancellations and box office flops due to a wide number of families being highly offended by the content and refusing to show it to their children. As millions of more traditional families look for clean and wholesome alternatives to Disney to show to their children, Bentkey stepped in to fill in the gap.
Bentkey is available for $99 annually or through a subscription to the Daily Wire+. At launch, Bentkey offers 150 episodes across 18 different shows, with new content dropping every Saturday, just like the Saturday morning cartoons offered on network television for older generations.
