Aparigraha is one of the yamas, the 1st limb of yoga.

Sanskrit Word: Aparigraha

English Translation: Non-attachment, freedom from greed, not coveting

Aparigraha is the last of the yamas, the first limb of yoga outlining basic principles for living that set us on the right path of yoga, even before doing any postures.

Use it in a sentence:

Aparigraha sthairye janmakathamta sambodhah. Yoga Sutra 2.39

By becoming resolute in freedom from attachment to possessions, one receives insight into how and why they were born.
