I’m taking this as an opportunity to think more deeply about my patterns. Are my various routines worth keeping or changing?

Ashtanga ABCs Day 6 {No Coffee. No Prana}

Challenge Pose: Padangusthasana

My teacher’s teacher, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois used to say, “No Coffee No Prana” in favor of drinking coffee in the early morning before yoga practice. Whether or not you adhere to this, everyone has some type of routine, superstition, or weird habit that gets us through the day. Some of these little routines, we may have established years ago and barely think about them. Until, say, a quarantine... and even the smallest of routines like having a nice morning coffee are disturbed.

I’m taking this as an opportunity to think more deeply about my patterns. Are my various routines worth keeping or changing? I’m figuring all that out as we speak. And I think it’s a good thing.

How are you all finding a sense of routine with all the changes going on?
